Steps to Recovery Homes
Our mission is to provide safe and structured environments, free from alcohol and drugs, for people who fall through the cracks. We educate and empower individuals to embrace their purpose. Our focus is on behavior modification, raising awareness of core issues and integrating individuals back into the community.
Steps to Recovery Homes is a nonprofit organization founded in 2013 by individuals who recognized the need for affordable, low-barrier substance misuse treatment and recovery services in rural communities. Drawing from their own experiences, the founders understood the challenges people face when trying to access these services. As a testament to their journey, they firmly believe that recovery is possible and strive to make these opportunities available to others seeking sobriety. Since its inception, STRH has expanded its services to better meet the needs of the community. These services now include mental health treatment, Intensive Outpatient Programming (IOP), individual therapy, group therapy, telehealth services, case management, peer support, and workforce development programs at the Konnect Wellness Center. Additionally, STRH provides preventive services and education on substance use disorders and the stigma surrounding addiction through an annual job fair, a fundraiser called “Dinner for Hope” and a free community event called “Erase the Stigma.”
STRH is supported by a team of exceptionally talented staff who provide essential community services with lived experience and empathy. It is governed by a dedicated board of directors who are respected within the community and are attuned to its needs.
Steps to Recovery Homes fulfills its mission through health advocacy, prevention education, culturally relevant treatment programs for diverse populations, continuously building organizational capacity, and the provision of accessible and affordable treatment for individuals seeking services.
Our primary purpose is to create a healthy, safe, and structured environment for clients. We aim to assist our community by helping individuals become productive members of society, thereby reducing recidivism rates in the areas we serve. Steps To Recovery Homes is a state-licensed center for substance use disorder and mental health treatment. We provide services to all Yavapai County residents, regardless of their ability to pay. Steps To Recovery Homes operates two recovery homes, a resale thrift store called “Miracles Happen,” a warehouse, a career and workforce development program, an outpatient treatment center, and an event center called the Connection Room.
